Money

Right now, I am currently at the top level of a Barnes and Nobles book store here in Columbus Ohio's Short North.

I sit here with a slight irritation in my eye, watching the cars go by and staring slightly at the traffic light, Game Stop, Five Guys and Panera Bread. There is a certain aspect to the city and to this place. Its the energy of both education and opportunity, mixed with the lowly and dirty sob stories that make some successful, while others asking for money on the streets.
I am trying my hardest to come to a conclusion about money and finances. I can infer and calculate as well as estimate that I shouldn't worry about money and having it around, because it will always be there for me. One of the most influential people in my life who has guided me to confidence and given me the strength to succeed and tell me that everything will be alright, has always told me that money will never be an issue for me. She said, “my son, you will always have enough, and it will be in abundance because we are blessed and highly favored. You are gifted and talented and you will always have work to do and people who will pay you for it. Do not fret or worry or even feel bad, because you deserve to have what you want, as long as you remain humble and the beautiful child I raised. The money will be there.” Of course by now, you will know that this wonderful person who gave me this great confidence is my mother. She is such a wonderful blessing in my life. I run to her when I need help, when I need emotional support and strength she will always give it in the time of need.
One could say, “my goodness you are a momma's boy”. I would reply, “Yep, I sure am! If you had my mother, you would be too.”

As I am writing this, I can feel the worries drifting away. Its as though a blanket, warmed by the fireplace, has been placed on my soul and gives me the comfort to succeed and to be the best that I can be. I have no problem sharing this information to the world. I have no worries putting this out on my blog, because I know there are others that feel the same as well.
I have a word of advice to anyone who reads. If you have a person in your life that gives you this feeling, this blanket upon your soul, listen to this person. Absorb their wisdom and remember not to worry because that subtle feeling and love energy is actually stronger than the mightiest diamond that could ever be made from the bowels of the inner earth. This power is what allows us to truly achieve our goals. Whether you get this feeling by writing, meditating, singing, dancing, embrace it and know that money will be there and love is superior. Love is superior.
Mind you, it is also just as important to keep track of our expenses and yes love is superior, but balance is also important. Take care of what you have. Honor it as your own and soon, the money you have put into it, will return its value double, triple or even more back to you.

“How though? How does this happen?” You ask “How will it come back double or triple?” Think about it like this:

Remember that toy you had as a child? Whatever it was, that special thing that made you feel so happy inside. You knew in your heart that you would take care of it so well. You decided that you didn't want anything or anyone to hurt it. Over time, you either lost care about it or you seek new objects or ways to express your care for it. It is the same way with money. When you seek new ways to care for it and cultivate it, it will grow like a plant. That old saying that money doesn't grow on tress is now a lie if you think about it in this way. Money is the physical manifestation of the spiritual garden you water within. Sometimes, you must pick the plants, and prune the leaves (spend the money) and also invest and fertilize the soil, so that you will grow more. This is a sacred principle. One that is old and understood by most of our elders. Its important to think of our money as a garden. We must always take care of the garden and it will take care of us. Every expense should be an investment in you and the things you care for in your life as well as other's lives. Then it will always bear fruit for you.

Always.

GAMDA

Angel

Wanted to make something similar to what ive seen in Mandalas, then add a golden angelic figure in the center. It symbolizes freedom, fluidity and liberation. Id like to think this angel is one of my guardians.

New Digital Painting

I don't know what the title of this piece should be, I feel like I just gave birth a little bit :P It came out of know where, I just saw it in my head and then starting doing it.

I had a lot of fun getting the coloring right. The fire colors and everything, I wanted it to look like something you would see in a nice sunset. I feel like this piece should be a series to something deeper, but i'm not quite sure to what... Subconscious, maybe I should stop watching so many magic TV series and stuff..  More to come...

iOS Development

Ive been experimenting with iOS mobile development within Adobe Flash CS5.5

It seems that there are many options and ways to go about developing apps for both Android and iOS devices. So far I've just been designing random things and programming test apps before I release one that I favor myself.

I will continue to upload more designs and pretty soon I will have real apps! I look forward to creating some games using flash and creating Android and iPhone apps as well. I also want to experiment with Facebook connect and social networking on mobile platforms as well. More to come!

Order Completion

Well, Ive finally completed the piece. It was actually in the middle of a meeting at my job when I completed it. It is simple. A pencil drawing of random somewhat triangular objects trying to order themselves into a uniform mass. It is relative to Kente Cloth or other African and geometric designs I wanted to illustrate it looking rough yet still somewhat uniform and structured.

Order

This is my first post on my blog for the release of my new portfolio site. I wish to write about more personal things here. Nothing extremely personal, but close enough to where you can see my process and how I create some of my work.

This is all new to me and I hope to keep it going and to get people to watch and be engaged in what I am doing. I love to make things and I also love to perform. I think of this as a performance as well.

New Project: Order

I want to discuss order. Order in life. Why it is important and why it is relevant. I also want to illustrate this in a unique way, and then come up with many ways to express this concept through different mediums and forms. Artwork, web-design, etc. This will be the new way that I do my work. I will develop a concept of my personal interest and then start putting elements together to form "stuff." This stuff will be placed on my portfolio website for people to see and experience. Over the period of this weekend and possibly throughout the week. I will be looking in my life and through the lives of others, what Order is and attempting to answer the questions above.

Ive thought above researching scriptures from the Bible. Since I've grown up in a Christian background, I remember the prominence of the book of Proverbs, Ecclesiastes, those are my favorite books of the bible. Surely there would be examples of order in these passages. I will look at many other proverbs from around the world as well as different cultures and figure out ways to connect them as universal truths. As I develop this concept. My intent is to visualize a metaphor or an image, a painting, a drawing of some sort to capture this idea of Order.
